In the recently held Vitiligo International Symposium, in Detroit (U.S.A.) halo nevi were mentioned (Sutton’s nevi), which are common in vitiligo patients. This is a marker of cellular autoimmunity against nested melanocytes of the nevi. Halo Nevus excision is a simple procedure, which can improve the outcome of the vitiligo therapy, especially when after the excision NBUVB phototherapy follows, which showed a rapid rate of repigmentation.
